The commune of Głubczyce is located in the southern part of the Opolskie Voivodeship. It covers 294 km2 and has 23,144 inhabitants, including 12,990 in the area of Głubczyce.
The dominant branches of economy are agriculture, food, metal, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Construction as well as retail and service companies also thrive well.
