The commune of Głuchołazy is situated in the southern part of the Province, at the foot of the Opawskie Mountains and covers the area of 168 km2. There are approximately 24 700 inhabitants in the commune.
A big asset of the commune are well-developed accommodation facilities as well as sport and recreation facilities, for example, a sports centre “Nad Białką” with a swimming pool and playing grounds for beach volleyball and football.
Landscapes and nature are the most significant assets of the Głuchołazy Commune. The Opawskie Mountains form the beauty of the region with the highest peak – Biskupia Kopa. There are lots of tourist routes in the area of the commune including hiking, cycling, and skiing trails as well as theme, educational and nature paths.
