The commune covers the area of 180 km2 and has approximately 9300 inhabitants.
A pretty good communication network, short distance to the motorway A4, and the development of infrastructure positively affect the balanced progress of this region. Education, sport, recreation, health, agriculture - five important areas which determine the strategic aims of the commune and simultaneously create consistent offer for residents, visitors and tourists.
The commune is a perfect tourist destination due to its monuments and environmental advantages. The Church of the Holy Trinity, the palace complex from 1616 as well as the baroque palace in Przydroże Małe, churches in Ścinanawa Mała, Ścinawa Nyska and in Przechod are worth visiting.
